 • re-using same search resutls in error message

Posted by jRosales at 2006-06-19 04:06 PM
Sometimes, after exporting data, I will re-do the search with new parameters, usually catalog numbers. When I go to export this new set of data I receive this error message "Access violation at address C033Fc45. Read of address C033FC45". I have to save and close the search, then re-open it, otherwise the data does not export. Is this fixable?

This is one of the known bugs in Specify 5.0 and most likely 5.1. It should be fixed by Specify 5.2 (end of summer hopefully). I have tested this a bit and found that after the access violation, I can usually export again successfully. I will see if it would be possible to fix this for Specify 5.1, but we are in the testing phase right now and I am not sure we can fix it at this point.
