At some point, you may wish to change the identification of several specimens at one time. Specify allows you to do this potentially tedious task quickly. All you need are the catalog numbers for the specimens.

For this example we will use a fossil invertebrate database and we will change the taxon name of catalog numbers 1, 2712, 6423, and 34324 to "Phacops bufo".

First, login as an administrator and open "File" -> "Admin" -> "Batch Identification of specimens".



Type in the catalog numbers of the specimens to be changed.



Enter in the new information in the fields.



Click "Save".

Your specimens have now been changed.
